Random lines and tessellations in a plane.

Luis A. Santaló (1980)

Stochastica

Similarity:

Our purpose is the study of the so called mixed random mosaics, formed by superposition of a given tesellation, not random, of congruent convex polygons and a homogeneous Poisson line process. We give the mean area, the mean perimeter and the mean number of sides of the polygons into which such mosaics divide the plane.

A note on the Ecogen language built-in random deviate generators.

Jordi Ocaña, M.ª Carmen Ruiz de Villa, Guillem Alonso (1986)

Qüestiió

Similarity:

The standard ECOGEN (a simulation language based on Pascal) random deviate generators are described. For every one of them, a short usage note and a description of the algorithm and underlying theory is presented. This paper must be considered as an addenda to a previous one where the ECOGEN language was described. The ECOGEN random deviate generators include the continuous and discrete uniform, Poisson, binomial, exponential, Cauchy, normal or Laplace-Gauss, beta, gamma, Weibull, Pareto...

Stereology of dihedral angles

Vratislav Horálek (2000)

Applications of Mathematics

Similarity:

The paper presents a short survey of stereological problems concerning dihedral angles, their solutions and applications, and introduces a graph for determining the distribution functions of planar angles under the hypothesis that dihedral angles in 3 are of the same size and create a random field.
