In der Arbeit werden zwei approximative Formeln für den Fehler bei linearen Iterationsverfahren vom Typus x v + 1 = ϕ ( x v ) abgeleitet ( x v + 1 , x v sind n -dimensionale Vektoren). Der Fehler der v -ten Approximation wird durch vorhergehende Korrektionen d v = x v + 1 - x v und gewisse von den zahlen d v mit Hilfe der Methode von kleinsten Quadraten, abgeleiteten Konstanten, abgeschätzt. Die Formeln sind leicht anwendbare und sie geben für den Fehler sehr genaue Werte an.
