Recentemente, B.-Y. Chen ha introdotto una nuova serie di invarianti δ n 1 , , n k riemanniani per ogni varietà riemanniana. Ha anche ottenuto disuguaglianze strette per questi invarianti per sottovarietà di forme spaziali reali e complesse in funzione della loro curvatura media. Nel presente lavoro proviamo analoghe stime per gli invarianti δ n 1 , , n k per sottovarietà C -totalmente reali e C R di contatto di una forma spaziale di Sasaki M ~ c .

Dopo aver dato due diverse caratterizzazioni per le superficie di una varietà riemanniana m-dimensionale che hanno una connessione normale piatta, si caratterizzano le superficie sferiche di codimensione 1 e le varietà riemanniane conformemente piatte di dimensione m > 3.

Solutions of the P. J. Ryan problem as well as investigations of curvature properties of Cartan hypersurfaces and Ricci-pseudosymmetric hypersurfaces lead to curvature identities holding on every hypersurface M isometrically immersed in a semi-Riemannian space form. These identities, under some assumptions, give rises to new generalized Einstein metric conditions on M. We investigate hypersurfaces satisfying such curvature conditions.
