We show how the Landau–Ginzburg/Calabi–Yau correspondence for the quintic three-fold can be cast into a global mirror symmetry framework. Then we draw inspiration from Berglund–Hübsch mirror duality construction to provide an analogue conjectural picture featuring all Calabi–Yau hypersurfaces within weighted projective spaces and certain quotients by finite abelian group actions.
We give an expository account of a conjecture, developed by Coates–Iritani–Tseng and Ruan, which relates the quantum cohomology of a Gorenstein orbifold to the quantum cohomology of a crepant resolution of . We give a review of our construction of a cohomological field theory for quasi-homogeneous singularities and the -spin theory of Jarvis-Kimura-Vaintrob. We further prove that for a singularity of type our construction of the stack of -curves is canonically isomorphic to the stack of -spin curves described by Abramovich and Jarvis.
