A new flavonol glucoside, the quercetin-3- α -(2-O- β -D-glucopiranosil)-D-glucofuranoside, has been isolated from the leaves of Vestia Lycioides together with theisoquercitrin. By the NMR spectrum of the corresponding acetate the α -furanosydic structure of the glucose bound to quercetin has been determined.

From the stem bark of Strychnos Romeu Belenii Krukoff & Barneby a Loganiacea of South America, a new indolinic alkaloid has been isolated, to which the structure of 11-methoxydiaboline(I) has been assigned on the basis of u.v., i.r., n.m.r., o.r.d. and MS data.
