An histophotometrical evaluation of the DNA content in post-kinetic nuclei has been performed in the two karyological forms of Rattus rattus (L.), i.e. the Japanese one with 42 chromosomes complement and the European one with 38 chromosomes, and in Rattus norvegicus (Erxl.).
