A theory of refinement structure of hedge algebras and its applications to fuzzy logic

Nguyen HoHuynh Nam — 1999

Banach Center Publications

In [13], an algebraic approach to the natural structure of domains of linguistic variables was introduced. In this approach, every linguistic domain can be interpreted as an algebraic structure called a hedge algebra. In this paper, a refinement structure of hedge algebras based on free distributive lattices generated by linguistic hedge operations will be examined in order to model structure of linguistic domains more properly. In solving this question, we restrict our consideration to the specific...

Multiple neural network integration using a binary decision tree to improve the ECG signal recognition accuracy

Hoai Linh TranVan Nam PhamHoang Nam Vuong — 2014

International Journal of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science

The paper presents a new system for ECG (ElectroCardioGraphy) signal recognition using different neural classifiers and a binary decision tree to provide one more processing stage to give the final recognition result. As the base classifiers, the three classical neural models, i.e., the MLP (Multi Layer Perceptron), modified TSK (Takagi-Sugeno-Kang) and the SVM (Support Vector Machine), will be applied. The coefficients in ECG signal decomposition using Hermite basis functions and the peak-to-peak...

m-Berezin transform and compact operators.

Kyesook NamDechao ZhengChangyong Zhong — 2006

Revista Matemática Iberoamericana

m-Berezin transforms are introduced for bounded operators on the Bergman space of the unit ball. The norm of the m-Berezin transform as a linear operator from the space of bounded operators to L is found. We show that the m-Berezin transforms are commuting with each other and Lipschitz with respect to the pseudo-hyperbolic distance on the unit ball. Using the m-Berezin transforms we show that a radial operator in the Toeplitz algebra is compact iff its Berezin transform vanishes on the boundary...
