A self-adaptive trust region method for the extended linear complementarity problems

Zhensheng YuQiang Li — 2009

Applications of Mathematics

By using some NCP functions, we reformulate the extended linear complementarity problem as a nonsmooth equation. Then we propose a self-adaptive trust region algorithm for solving this nonsmooth equation. The novelty of this method is that the trust region radius is controlled by the objective function value which can be adjusted automatically according to the algorithm. The global convergence is obtained under mild conditions and the local superlinear convergence rate is also established under...

Existence of mild solutions for fractional evolution equations with nonlocal initial conditions

Pengyu ChenYongxiang LiQiang Li — 2014

Annales Polonici Mathematici

This paper discusses the existence of mild solutions for a class of semilinear fractional evolution equations with nonlocal initial conditions in an arbitrary Banach space. We assume that the linear part generates an equicontinuous semigroup, and the nonlinear part satisfies noncompactness measure conditions and appropriate growth conditions. An example to illustrate the applications of the abstract result is also given.
