Stabilization of second-order systems by non-linear feedback

Paweł Skruch (2004)

International Journal of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science

Similarity:

A stabilization problem of second-order systems by non-linear feedback is considered. We discuss the case when only position feedback is available. The non-linear stabilizer is constructed by placing actuators and sensors in the same location and by using a parallel compensator. The stability of the closed-loop system is proved by LaSalle's theorem. The distinctive feature of the solution is that no transformation to a first-order system is invoked. The results of analytic and numerical...

On timed event graph stabilization by output feedback in dioid

B. Cottenceau, Mehdi Lhommeau, Laurent Hardouin, Jean-Louis Boimond (2003)

Kybernetika

Similarity:

This paper deals with output feedback synthesis for Timed Event Graphs (TEG) in dioid algebra. The feedback synthesis is done in order to (1) stabilize a TEG without decreasing its original production rate, (2) optimize the initial marking of the feedback, (3) delay as much as possible the tokens input.

Holomorph of generalized Bol loops II

Tèmítọ́pẹ́ Gbọ́láhàn Jaíyéiọlá, Bolaji Ajibola Popoola (2015)

Discussiones Mathematicae - General Algebra and Applications

Similarity:

The notion of the holomorph of a generalized Bol loop (GBL) is characterized afresh. The holomorph of a right inverse property loop (RIPL) is shown to be a GBL if and only if the loop is a GBL and some bijections of the loop are right (middle) regular. The holomorph of a RIPL is shown to be a GBL if and only if the loop is a GBL and some elements of the loop are right (middle) nuclear. Necessary and sufficient conditions for the holomorph of a RIPL to be a Bol loop are deduced. Some...

Positivity and stabilization of 2D linear systems

Tadeusz Kaczorek (2009)

Discussiones Mathematicae, Differential Inclusions, Control and Optimization

Similarity:

The problem of finding a gain matrix of the state-feedback of 2D linear system such that the closed-loop system is positive and asymptotically stable is formulated and solved. Necessary and sufficient conditions for the solvability of the problem are established. It is shown that the problem can be reduced to suitable linear programming problem. The proposed approach can be extended to 2D linear system described by the 2D Roesser model.

Eigenstructure assignment by proportional-plus-derivative feedback for second-order linear control systems

Taha H. S. Abdelaziz, Michael Valášek (2005)

Kybernetika

Similarity:

This paper introduces a complete parametric approach for solving the eigenstructure assignment problem using proportional-plus-derivative feedback for second-order linear control systems. In this work, necessary and sufficient conditions that ensure the solvability for the second-order system are derived. A parametric solution to the feedback gain matrix is introduced that describes the available degrees of freedom offered by the proportional-plus-derivative feedback in selecting the...
