In this paper, stability of linear neutral systems with distributed delay is investigated. A bounded half circular region which includes all unstable characteristic roots, is obtained. Using the argument principle, stability criteria are derived which are necessary and sufficient conditions for asymptotic stability of the neutral systems. The stability criteria need only to evaluate the characteristic function on a straight segment on the imaginary axis and the argument on the boundary...

Asymptotic stability of models of 2D continuous-discrete linear systems is considered. Computer methods for investigation of the asymptotic stability of the Roesser type model are given. The methods require computation of eigenvalue-loci of complex matrices or evaluation of complex functions. The effectiveness of the stability tests is demonstrated on numerical examples.

Systems with time-varying non-linearity confined to a given sector (Luré type) and a linear part with uncertainty formulated by an interval transfer function, are considered. Sufficient conditions satisfying the Popov criterion for stability, which are computationally tractable, are derived. The problem of checking the Popov criterion for an infinite set of systems, is reduced to that of checking the Popov criterion for a finite number of fixed coefficient systems, each in a prescribed...
