Initial traces of solutions to a one-phase Stefan problem in an infinite strip.

Daniele Andreucci, Marianne K. Korten (1993)

Revista Matemática Iberoamericana

Similarity:

The main result of this paper is an integral estimate valid for non-negative solutions (with no reference to initial data) u ∈ L1 loc (Rn x (0,T)) to (0.1)   ut - Δ(u - 1)+ = 0,  in D'(Rn x (0,T)), for T > 0, n ≥ 1. Equation (0.1) is a formulation of a one-phase Stefan problem: in this connection...

Surjective convolution operators on spaces of distributions.

Leonhard Frerick, Jochen Wengenroth (2003)

RACSAM

Similarity:

We review recent developments in the theory of inductive limits and use them to give a new and rather easy proof for Hörmander?s characterization of surjective convolution operators on spaces of Schwartz distributions.

New Examples of Convolutions and Non-Commutative Central Limit Theorems

Marek Bożejko, Janusz Wysoczański (1998)

Banach Center Publications

Similarity:

A family of transformations on the set of all probability measures on the real line is introduced, which makes it possible to define new examples of convolutions. The associated central limit theorems are studied, and examples of the limit measures, related to the classical, free and boolean convolutions, are shown.
