In this note the well-posedness of the Dirichlet problem (1.2) below is proved in the class H 0 1 , p ( Ω ) for all 1 < p < ∞ and, as a consequence, the Hölder regularity of the solution u . ℒ is an elliptic second order operator with discontinuous coefficients ( V M O ) and the lower order terms belong to suitable Lebesgue spaces.

In the paper we find conditions on the pair ( ω 1 , ω 2 ) which ensure the boundedness of the maximal operator and the Calderón-Zygmund singular integral operators from one generalized Morrey space ℳ p , ω 1 to another ℳ p , ω 2 , 1 < p < ∞ , and from the space ℳ 1 , ω 1 to the weak space W ℳ 1 , ω 2 . As applications, we get some estimates for uniformly elliptic operators on generalized Morrey spaces.
