We give a method for constructing functions $φ$ and $ψ$ for which $H (x, y) = φ (x) - ψ (y)$ has a specified subharmonic minorant $h (x, y)$ . By a theorem of B. Cole, this procedure establishes integral mean inequalities for conjugate functions.
