Statistical convergence of a sequence of random variables and limit theorems

Sanjoy Ghosal (2013)

Applications of Mathematics

Similarity:

In this paper the ideas of three types of statistical convergence of a sequence of random variables, namely, statistical convergence in probability, statistical convergence in mean of order r and statistical convergence in distribution are introduced and the interrelation among them is investigated. Also their certain basic properties are studied.

A convergence on Boolean algebras generalizing the convergence on the Aleksandrov cube

Miloš S. Kurilić, Aleksandar Pavlović (2014)

Czechoslovak Mathematical Journal

Similarity:

We compare the forcing-related properties of a complete Boolean algebra 𝔹 with the properties of the convergences λ s (the algebraic convergence) and λ ls on 𝔹 generalizing the convergence on the Cantor and Aleksandrov cube, respectively. In particular, we show that λ ls is a topological convergence iff forcing by 𝔹 does not produce new reals and that λ ls is weakly topological if 𝔹 satisfies condition ( ) (implied by the 𝔱 -cc). On the other hand, if λ ls is a weakly topological convergence, then 𝔹 ...

Remarks on several types of convergence of bounded sequences

Vladimír Baláž, Oto Strauch, Tibor Šalát (2006)

Acta Mathematica Universitatis Ostraviensis

Similarity:

In this paper we analyze relations among several types of convergences of bounded sequences, in particulars among statistical convergence, u -convergence, ϕ -convergence, almost convergence, strong p -Cesàro convergence and uniformly strong p -Cesàro convergence.
