Hypotheses testing with the two-parameter Pareto distribution on the basis of records in fuzzy environment

Ali Reza Saeidi, Mohammad Ghasem Akbari, Mahdi Doostparast (2014)

Kybernetika

Similarity:

In problems of testing statistical hypotheses, we may be confronted with fuzzy concepts. There are also situations in which the available data are record statistics such as weather and sports. In this paper, we consider the problem of testing fuzzy hypotheses on the basis of records. Pareto distribution is investigated in more details since it is used in applications including economic and life testing analysis. For illustrative proposes, a real data set on annual wage is analyzed using...

Generated fuzzy implications and fuzzy preference structures

Vladislav Biba, Dana Hliněná (2012)

Kybernetika

Similarity:

The notion of a construction of a fuzzy preference structures is introduced. The properties of a certain class of generated fuzzy implications are studied. The main topic in this paper is investigation of the construction of the monotone generator triplet ( p , i , j ) , which is the producer of fuzzy preference structures. Some properties of mentioned monotone generator triplet are investigated.

On a functional equation connected to the distributivity of fuzzy implications over triangular norms and conorms

Kybernetika

Similarity:

Distributivity of fuzzy implications over different fuzzy logic connectives have a very important role to play in efficient inferencing in approximate reasoning, especially in fuzzy control systems (see [9, 15] and [4]). Recently in some considerations connected with these distributivity laws, the following functional equation appeared (see [5]) f ( min ( x + y , a ) ) = min ( f ( x ) + f ( y ) , b ) , where a , b > 0 and f : [ 0 , a ] [ 0 , b ] is an unknown function. In this paper we consider in detail a generalized version of this equation, namely the equation f ( m 1 ( x + y ) ) = m 2 ( f ( x ) + f ( y ) ) , where...

On the weak robustness of fuzzy matrices

Ján Plavka (2013)

Kybernetika

Similarity:

A matrix A in ( max , min ) -algebra (fuzzy matrix) is called weakly robust if A k x is an eigenvector of A only if x is an eigenvector of A . The weak robustness of fuzzy matrices are studied and its properties are proved. A characterization of the weak robustness of fuzzy matrices is presented and an O ( n 2 ) algorithm for checking the weak robustness is described.

Batch scheduling problem with due-date and fuzzy precedence relation

Xuesong Li, Hiroaki Ishii, Minghao Chen (2012)

Kybernetika

Similarity:

A single-machine batch scheduling problem is investigated. Each job has a positive processing time and due-date. Setup times are assumed to be identical for all batches. All batch sizes cannot exceed a common upper bound. As in many practical situations, jobs have to be subject to flexible precedence constraints. The aim of this paper is to find an optimal batch sequence. The sequence is to minimize the maximal completion time and maximize the minimum value of desirability of the fuzzy...
