Control of constrained nonlinear uncertain discrete-time systems robust controllable sets: a modal interval analysis approach

Jian Wan, Josep Vehí, Ningsu Luo, Pau Herrero (2009)

ESAIM: Control, Optimisation and Calculus of Variations

Similarity:

A general framework for computing robust controllable sets of constrained nonlinear uncertain discrete-time systems as well as controlling such complex systems based on the computed robust controllable sets is introduced in this paper. The addressed one-step control approach turns out to be a robust model predictive control scheme with feasible unit control horizon and contractive constraint. The solver of 1-dimensional quantified set inversion in modal interval analysis is extended...

On the solution of the constrained multiobjective control problem with the receding horizon approach

Daniele De Vito, Riccardo Scattolini (2008)

Kybernetika

Similarity:

This paper deals with a multiobjective control problem for nonlinear discrete time systems. The problem consists of finding a control strategy which minimizes a number of performance indexes subject to state and control constraints. A solution to this problem through the Receding Horizon approach is proposed. Under standard assumptions, it is shown that the resulting control law guarantees closed-loop stability. The proposed method is also used to provide a robustly stabilizing solution...

Application of a second order VSC to nonlinear systems in multi-input parametric-pure-feedback form

Antonella Ferrara, Luisa Giacomini (2000)

Kybernetika

Similarity:

The use of a multi-input control design procedure for uncertain nonlinear systems expressible in multi-input parametric-pure feedback form to determine the control law for a class of mechanical systems is described in this paper. The proposed procedure, based on the well-known backstepping design technique, relies on the possibility of extending to multi-input uncertain systems a second order sliding mode control approach recently developed, thus reducing the computational load, as well...

Two-level stochastic control for a linear system with nonclassical information

Zdzisław Duda, Witold Brandys (2004)

International Journal of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science

Similarity:

A problem of control law design for large scale stochastic systems is discussed. Nonclassical information pattern is considered. A two-level hierarchical control structure with a coordinator on the upper level and local controllers on the lower level is proposed. A suboptimal algorithm with a partial decomposition of calculations and decentralized local control is obtained. A simple example is presented to illustrate the proposed approach.
