A principal topology obtained from uninorms

Kybernetika

Similarity:

We obtain a principal topology and some related results. We also give some hints of possible applications. Some mathematical systems are both lattice and topological space. We show that a topology defined on the any bounded lattice is definable in terms of uninorms. Also, we see that these topologies satisfy the condition of the principal topology. These topologies can not be metrizable except for the discrete metric case. We show an equivalence relation on the class of uninorms on a...

Schrödinger Operator on the Zigzag Half-Nanotube in Magnetic Field

A. Iantchenko, E. Korotyaev (2010)

Mathematical Modelling of Natural Phenomena

Similarity:

We consider the zigzag half-nanotubes (tight-binding approximation) in a uniform magnetic field which is described by the magnetic Schrödinger operator with a periodic potential plus a finitely supported perturbation. We describe all eigenvalues and resonances of this operator, and theirs dependence on the magnetic field. The proof is reduced to the analysis of the periodic Jacobi operators on the half-line with finitely supported perturbations. ...

Quasi-periodic and periodic solutions of the Toda lattice via the hyperelliptic sigma function

Annales de l’institut Fourier

Similarity:

A lattice model with exponential interaction, was proposed and integrated by M. Toda in the 1960s; it was then extensively studied as one of the completely integrable (differential-difference) equations by algebro-geometric methods, which produced both quasi-periodic solutions in terms of theta functions of hyperelliptic curves and periodic solutions defined on suitable Jacobians by the Lax-pair method. In this work, we revisit Toda’s original approach to give solutions of the Toda lattice...
