In this paper, the stability of a Timoshenko beam with time delays
in the boundary input is studied. The system is fixed at the left
end, and at the other end there are feedback controllers, in which
time delays exist. We prove that this closed loop system is
well-posed. By the complete spectral analysis, we show that there is
a sequence of eigenvectors and generalized eigenvectors of the
system
operator that forms a Riesz basis for the state Hilbert space.
Hence the system satisfies the spectrum...
The aim of this paper is to prove that the relaxation of the elastic-perfectly plastic energy (of a solid made of a Hencky material) is the lower semicontinuous regularization of the plastic energy. We find the integral representation of a non-locally coercive functional. In part II, we will show that the set of solutions of the relaxed problem is equal to the set of solutions of the relaxed problem proposed by Suquet. Moreover, we will prove the existence theorem for the limit analysis problem.

The aim of this paper is to prove that the relaxation of the elastic-perfectly plastic energy (of a solid made of a Hencky material with the Signorini constraints on the boundary) is the weak* lower semicontinuous regularization of the plastic energy. We consider an elastic-plastic solid endowed with the von Mises (or Tresca) yield condition. Moreover, we show that the set of solutions of the relaxed problem is equal to the set of solutions of the relaxed problem proposed by Suquet. We deduce that...
This paper is devoted to describing second order conditions in the framework of extremal problems, that is, conditions obtained by reducing the optimal control problem to an abstract one in a suitable Banach (or Hilbert) space. The studied problem includes equality constraints both on the end-points and on the state-control trajectory. The second goal is to give a complete description of necessary and sufficient second order conditions for weak local optimality by describing first the associated...
In a Hilbert space setting, necessary and sufficient conditions for the minimum norm solution u to the equation Su = Rz to be continuously dependent on z are given. These conditions are used to study the continuity of minimum energy and linear-quadratic control problems for infinite dimensional linear systems with fixed endpoints.
