Improved Muckenhoupt-Wheeden inequality and weighted inequalities for potential operators.

Publicacions Matemàtiques

Similarity:

By a variant of the standard good λ inequality, we prove the Muckenhoupt-Wheeden inequality for measures which are not necessarily in the Muckenhoupt class. Moreover we can deal with a general potential operator, and consequently we obtain a suitable approach to the two weight inequality for such an operator when one of the weight functions satisfies a reverse doubling condition.

A proof of the weak (1,1) inequality for singular integrals with non doubling measures based on a Calderón-Zygmund decomposition.

Similarity:

Given a doubling measure μ on R, it is a classical result of harmonic analysis that Calderón-Zygmund operators which are bounded in L(μ) are also of weak type (1,1). Recently it has been shown that the same result holds if one substitutes the doubling condition on μ by a mild growth condition on μ. In this paper another proof of this result is given. The proof is very close in spirit to the classical argument for doubling measures and it is based on a new Calderón-Zygmund decomposition...

Weighted inequalities and the shape of approach regions

José García, Javier Soria (1999)

Similarity:

We characterize geometric properties of a family of approach regions by means of analytic properties of the class of weights related to the boundedness of the maximal operator associated with this family.

On boundedness properties of certain maximal operators

M. Menárguez (1995)

Colloquium Mathematicae

Similarity:

It is known that the weak type (1,1) for the Hardy-Littlewood maximal operator can be obtained from the weak type (1,1) over Dirac deltas. This theorem is due to M. de Guzmán. In this paper, we develop a technique that allows us to prove such a theorem for operators and measure spaces in which Guzmán's technique cannot be used.

Norm inequalities for potential-type operators.

Revista Matemática Iberoamericana

Similarity:

The purpose of this paper is to derive norm inequalities for potentials of the form Tf(x) = ∫(Rn) f(y)K(x,y)dy,     x ∈ Rn, when K is a Kernel which satisfies estimates like those that hold for the Green function associated with the degenerate elliptic equations studied in [3] and [4].

Distribution and rearrangement estimates of the maximal function and interpolation

There are given necessary and sufficient conditions on a measure dμ(x)=w(x)dx under which the key estimates for the distribution and rearrangement of the maximal function due to Riesz, Wiener, Herz and Stein are valid. As a consequence, we obtain the equivalence of the Riesz and Wiener inequalities which seems to be new even for the Lebesgue measure. Our main tools are estimates of the distribution of the averaging function f** and a modified version of the Calderón-Zygmund decomposition....
