Localization and colocalization in tilting torsion theory for coalgebras

Yuan Li, Hailou Yao (2021)

Czechoslovak Mathematical Journal

Similarity:

Tilting theory plays an important role in the representation theory of coalgebras. This paper seeks how to apply the theory of localization and colocalization to tilting torsion theory in the category of comodules. In order to better understand the process, we give the (co)localization for morphisms, (pre)covers and special precovers. For that reason, we investigate the (co)localization in tilting torsion theory for coalgebras.

Comparison of the refined analytic and the Burghelea-Haller torsions

Annales de l’institut Fourier

Similarity:

The refined analytic torsion associated to a flat vector bundle over a closed odd-dimensional manifold canonically defines a quadratic form τ on the determinant line of the cohomology. Both τ and the Burghelea-Haller torsion are refinements of the Ray-Singer torsion. We show that whenever the Burghelea-Haller torsion is defined it is equal to ± τ . As an application we obtain new results about the Burghelea-Haller torsion. In particular, we prove a weak version of the Burghelea-Haller conjecture...

A classification of the torsion tensors on almost contact manifolds with B-metric

Mancho Manev, Miroslava Ivanova (2014)

Open Mathematics

Similarity:

The space of the torsion (0,3)-tensors of the linear connections on almost contact manifolds with B-metric is decomposed in 15 orthogonal and invariant subspaces with respect to the action of the structure group. Three known connections, preserving the structure, are characterized regarding this classification.
