Hermitian curvature flow

Jeffrey Streets, Gang Tian (2011)

Journal of the European Mathematical Society

Similarity:

We define a functional for Hermitian metrics using the curvature of the Chern connection. The Euler–Lagrange equation for this functional is an elliptic equation for Hermitian metrics. Solutions to this equation are related to Kähler–Einstein metrics, and are automatically Kähler–Einstein under certain conditions. Given this, a natural parabolic flow equation arises. We prove short time existence and regularity results for this flow, as well as stability for the flow near Kähler–Einstein...

Special Einstein’s equations on Kähler manifolds

Irena Hinterleitner, Volodymyr Kiosak (2010)

Archivum Mathematicum

Similarity:

This work is devoted to the study of Einstein equations with a special shape of the energy-momentum tensor. Our results continue Stepanov’s classification of Riemannian manifolds according to special properties of the energy-momentum tensor to Kähler manifolds. We show that in this case the number of classes reduces.

Calabi flow on toric varieties with bounded Sobolev constant, I

Complex Manifolds

Similarity:

Let (X, P) be a toric variety. In this note, we show that the C0-norm of the Calabi flow φ(t) on X is uniformly bounded in [0, T) if the Sobolev constant of φ(t) is uniformly bounded in [0, T). We also show that if (X, P) is uniform K-stable, then the modified Calabi flow converges exponentially fast to an extremal Kähler metric if the Ricci curvature and the Sobolev constant are uniformly bounded. At last, we discuss an extension of our results to a quasi-proper Kähler manifold. ...

Toric extremal Kähler-Ricci solitons are Kähler-Einstein

Simone Calamai, David Petrecca (2017)

Complex Manifolds

Similarity:

In this short note, we prove that a Calabi extremal Kähler-Ricci soliton on a compact toric Kähler manifold is Einstein. This settles for the class of toric manifolds a general problem stated by the authors that they solved only under some curvature assumptions.
