A characterization of elliptic operators

Grzegorz Łysik, Paweł M. Wójcicki (2014)

Annales Polonici Mathematici

Similarity:

We give a characterization of constant coefficients elliptic operators in terms of estimates of their iterations on smooth functions.

Estimates on elliptic equations that hold only where the gradient is large

Cyril Imbert, Luis Silvestre (2016)

Journal of the European Mathematical Society

Similarity:

We consider a function which is a viscosity solution of a uniformly elliptic equation only at those points where the gradient is large. We prove that the Hölder estimates and the Harnack inequality, as in the theory of Krylov and Safonov, apply to these functions.

Continuity of solutions of linear, degenerate elliptic equations

Jani Onninen, Xiao Zhong (2007)

Annali della Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa - Classe di Scienze

Similarity:

We consider the simplest form of a second order, linear, degenerate, elliptic equation with divergence structure in the plane. Under an integrability condition on the degenerate function, we prove that the solutions are continuous.

Boundedness of commutators of singular and potential operators in generalized grand Morrey spaces and some applications

Vakhtang Kokilashvili, Alexander Meskhi, Humberto Rafeiro (2013)

Studia Mathematica

Similarity:

In the setting of spaces of homogeneous type, it is shown that the commutator of Calderón-Zygmund type operators as well as the commutator of a potential operator with a BMO function are bounded in a generalized grand Morrey space. Interior estimates for solutions of elliptic equations are also given in the framework of generalized grand Morrey spaces.
