This paper is concerned with the problem of global state regulation by output feedback for large-scale uncertain nonlinear systems with time delays in the states and inputs. The systems are assumed to be bounded by a more general form than a class of feedforward systems satisfying a linear growth condition in the unmeasurable states multiplying by unknown growth rates and continuous functions of the inputs or delayed inputs. Using the dynamic gain scaling technique and choosing the appropriate...

In this paper, we establish a separation principle for a class of time-delay nonlinear systems satisfying some relaxed triangular-type condition. Under delay independent conditions, we propose a nonlinear time-delay observer to estimate the system states, a state feedback controller and we prove that the observer-based controller stabilizes the system.

This paper presents direct model reference adaptive control for a class of nonlinear systems with unknown nonlinearities. The model following conditions are assured by using adaptive neural networks as the nonlinear state feedback controller. Both full state information and observer-based schemes are investigated. All the signals in the closed loop are guaranteed to be bounded and the system state is proven to converge to a small neighborhood of the reference model state. It is also...

Basic properties on linearization by output injection are investigated in this paper. A special structure is sought which is linear up to a suitable output injection and under a suitable change of coordinates. It is shown how an observer may be designed using theory available for linear time delay systems.

This paper considers the guaranteed cost finite-time boundedness of positive switched nonlinear systems with D-perturbation and time-varying delay. Firstly, the definition of guaranteed cost finite-time boundedness is introduced. By using the Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional and average dwell time (ADT) approach, an output feedback controller is designed and sufficient conditions are obtained to ensure the corresponding closed-loop systems to be guaranteed cost finite-time boundedness...
