On stable polynomials

Miloslav Nekvinda (1989)

Aplikace matematiky

The article is a survey on problem of the theorem of Hurwitz. The starting point of explanations is Schur's decomposition theorem for polynomials. It is showed how to obtain the well-known criteria on the distribution of roots of polynomials. The theorem on uniqueness of constants in Schur's decomposition seems to be new.

On starlikeness of certain integral transforms

S. Ponnusamy (1992)

Annales Polonici Mathematici

Let A denote the class of normalized analytic functions in the unit disc U = z: |z| < 1. The author obtains fixed values of δ and ϱ (δ ≈ 0.308390864..., ϱ ≈ 0.0903572...) such that the integral transforms F and G defined by F ( z ) = 0 z ( f ( t ) / t ) d t and G ( z ) = ( 2 / z ) 0 z g ( t ) d t are starlike (univalent) in U, whenever f ∈ A and g ∈ A satisfy Ref’(z) > -δ and Re g’(z) > -ϱ respectively in U.

On strong starlikeness criteria of p -valent functions

V. B. L. Chaurasia, Hari Singh Parihar (2008)

Mathematica Bohemica

H. Silverman (1999) investigated the properties of functions defined in terms of the quotient of the analytic representations of convex and starlike functions. Many research workers have been working on analytic functions to be strongly starlike like Obradović and Owa (1989), Takahashi and Nunokawa (2003), Lin (1993) etc. In this paper we obtain a sufficient condition for p -valent functions to be strongly starlike of order α .
