Hybrid fixed point theory for right monotone increasing multi-valued mappings and neutral functional differential inclusions

Bapurao Chandra Dhage (2007)

Archivum Mathematicum

In this paper, some hybrid fixed point theorems for the right monotone increasing multi-valued mappings in ordered Banach spaces are proved via measure of noncompactness and they are further applied to the neutral functional nonconvex differential inclusions involving discontinuous multi-functions for proving the existence results under mixed Lipschitz, compactness and right monotonicity conditions. Our results improve the multi-valued hybrid fixed point theorems of Dhage (Dhage, B. C., A fixed...

Hypercontractivity of simple random variables

Paweł Wolff (2007)

Studia Mathematica

The optimal hypercontractivity constant for a natural operator semigroup acting on a discrete finite probability space is established up to a universal factor. The two-point spaces are proved to be the extremal case. The constants obtained are also optimal in the related moment inequalities for sums of independent random variables.

Hypercyclic and chaotic weighted shifts

K.-G. Grosse-Erdmann (2000)

Studia Mathematica

Extending previous results of H. Salas we obtain a characterisation of hypercyclic weighted shifts on an arbitrary F-sequence space in which the canonical unit vectors ( e n ) form a Schauder basis. If the basis is unconditional we give a characterisation of those hypercyclic weighted shifts that are even chaotic.
