Nonlinear ergodic theorems for a semitopological semigroup of non-Lipschitzian mappings without convexity.
The method of projections onto convex sets to find a point in the intersection of a finite number of closed convex sets in an Euclidean space, sometimes leads to slow convergence of the constructed sequence. Such slow convergence depends both on the choice of the starting point and on the monotoneous behaviour of the usual algorithms. As there is normally no indication of how to choose the starting point in order to avoid slow convergence, we present in this paper a non-monotoneous parallel algorithm...
The aim of this paper, is to introduce the convex structure (specially, Takahashi convex structure) on modular spaces. Moreover, we are interested in proving some common fixed point theorems for non-self mappings in modular space.
The notion of a measure of noncompactness turns out to be a very important and useful tool in many branches of mathematical analysis. The current state of this theory and its applications are presented in the books [1,4,11] for example. The notion of a measure of weak noncompactness was introduced by De Blasi [8] and was subsequently used in numerous branches of functional analysis and the theory of differential and integral equations (cf. [2,3,9,10,11], for instance). In this note we summarize our...
Some strong convergence theorems of common fixed points of asymptotically nonexpansive mappings in the intermediate sense are obtained. The results presented in this paper improve and extend the corresponding results in Huang, Khan and Takahashi, Chang, Schu, and Rhoades.
In the paper the fundamental properties of discrete dynamical systems generated by an -condensing mapping ( is the Kuratowski measure of noncompactness) are studied. The results extend and deepen those obtained by M. A. Krasnosel’skij and A. V. Lusnikov in [21]. They are also applied to study a mathematical model for spreading of an infectious disease investigated by P. Takac in [35], [36].
