Following compounds have been prepared: ZrInNi, HfInNi, TiInCu, HfInCu, ZrAlAu, TiAlPd, ZrAlPd, HfAlPd, TiInPd, ZrInPd and HfInPd. They were found to be of the CsCl or of the AlCuMn types. Geometrical characteristics of all known CsCl and AlCuMn type ternary compounds are summarised and briefly discussed.

Differential thermo-analysis, chemical analysis, metallographic and X-ray examinations were used for studying Nd–Au alloys. The comparison between results obtained performing thermoanalysis by heating pre-annealed samples or by cooling them from the melt shows that, very often, slow rates of formation delay the equilibration of the solid phases.
