The geometric reductivity of the quantum group S L q ( 2 )

Michał Kępa, Andrzej Tyc (2011)

Colloquium Mathematicae

Similarity:

We introduce the concept of geometrically reductive quantum group which is a generalization of the Mumford definition of geometrically reductive algebraic group. We prove that if G is a geometrically reductive quantum group and acts rationally on a commutative and finitely generated algebra A, then the algebra of invariants A G is finitely generated. We also prove that in characteristic 0 a quantum group G is geometrically reductive if and only if every rational G-module is semisimple,...

Quantum ultrametrics on AF algebras and the Gromov-Hausdorff propinquity

Konrad Aguilar, Frédéric Latrémolière (2015)

Studia Mathematica

Similarity:

We construct quantum metric structures on unital AF algebras with a faithful tracial state, and prove that for such metrics, AF algebras are limits of their defining inductive sequences of finite-dimensional C*-algebras for the quantum propinquity. We then study the geometry, for the quantum propinquity, of three natural classes of AF algebras equipped with our quantum metrics: the UHF algebras, the Effrös-Shen AF algebras associated with continued fraction expansions of irrationals,...

Smallness problem for quantum affine algebras and quiver varieties

David Hernandez (2008)

Annales scientifiques de l'École Normale Supérieure

Similarity:

The geometric small property (Borho-MacPherson [2]) of projective morphisms implies a description of their singularities in terms of intersection homology. In this paper we solve the smallness problem raised by Nakajima [37, 35] for certain resolutions of quiver varieties [37] (analogs of the Springer resolution): for Kirillov-Reshetikhin modules of simply-laced quantum affine algebras, we characterize explicitly the Drinfeld polynomials corresponding to the small resolutions. We use...

Schwartz kernel theorem in algebras of generalized functions

Vincent Valmorin (2010)

Banach Center Publications

Similarity:

A new approach to the generalization of Schwartz’s kernel theorem to Colombeau algebras of generalized functions is given. It is based on linear maps from algebras of classical functions to algebras of generalized ones. In particular, this approach enables one to give a meaning to certain hypotheses in preceding similar work on this theorem. Results based on the properties of G -generalized functions class are given. A straightforward relationship between the classical and the generalized...

Free dynamical quantum groups and the dynamical quantum group S U Q d y n ( 2 )

Thomas Timmermann (2012)

Banach Center Publications

Similarity:

We introduce dynamical analogues of the free orthogonal and free unitary quantum groups, which are no longer Hopf algebras but Hopf algebroids or quantum groupoids. These objects are constructed on the purely algebraic level and on the level of universal C*-algebras. As an example, we recover the dynamical S U q ( 2 ) studied by Koelink and Rosengren, and construct a refinement that includes several interesting limit cases.

Deformed commutators on comodule algebras over coquasitriangular Hopf algebras

Zhongwei Wang, Guoyin Zhang, Liangyun Zhang (2015)

Colloquium Mathematicae

Similarity:

We construct quantum commutators on comodule algebras over coquasitriangular Hopf algebras, so that they are quantum group coinvariant and have the generalized antisymmetry and Leibniz properties. If the coquasitriangular Hopf algebra is additionally cotriangular, then the quantum commutators satisfy a generalized Jacobi identity, and turn the comodule algebra into a quantum Lie algebra. Moreover, we investigate the projective and injective dimensions of some Doi-Hopf modules over a...

Division algebras that generalize Dickson semifields

Daniel Thompson (2020)

Communications in Mathematics

Similarity:

We generalize Knuth’s construction of Case I semifields quadratic over a weak nucleus, also known as generalized Dickson semifields, by doubling of central simple algebras. We thus obtain division algebras of dimension 2 s 2 by doubling central division algebras of degree s . Results on isomorphisms and automorphisms of these algebras are obtained in certain cases.

On a Construction of ModularGMS-algebras

Abd El-Mohsen Badawy (2015)

Acta Universitatis Palackianae Olomucensis. Facultas Rerum Naturalium. Mathematica

Similarity:

In this paper we investigate the class of all modular GMS-algebras which contains the class of MS-algebras. We construct modular GMS-algebras from the variety 𝐊 ̲ 2 by means of K ̲ 2 -quadruples. We also characterize isomorphisms of these algebras by means of K ̲ 2 -quadruples.

A geometric approach to full Colombeau algebras

R. Steinbauer (2010)

Banach Center Publications

Similarity:

We present a geometric approach to diffeomorphism invariant full Colombeau algebras which allows a particularly clear view of the construction of the intrinsically defined algebra ^ ( M ) on the manifold M given in [gksv].

Derived equivalences between generalized matrix algebras

QingHua Chen, HongJin Liu (2020)

Czechoslovak Mathematical Journal

Similarity:

We construct derived equivalences between generalized matrix algebras. We record several corollaries. In particular, we show that the n -replicated algebras of two derived equivalent, finite-dimensional algebras are also derived equivalent.

Deformed mesh algebras of Dynkin type ℂₙ

Jerzy Białkowski, Karin Erdmann, Andrzej Skowroński (2012)

Colloquium Mathematicae

Similarity:

In our recent paper (J. Algebra 345 (2011)) we prove that the deformed preprojective algebras of generalized Dynkin type ₙ (in the sense of our earlier work in Trans. Amer Math. Soc. 359 (2007)) are exactly (up to isomorphism) the stable Auslander algebras of simple plane singularities of Dynkin type 2 n . In this article we complete the picture by showing that the deformed mesh algebras of Dynkin type ℂₙ are isomorphic to the canonical mesh algebras of type ℂₙ, and hence to the stable...

Old and new results on Allan's GB*-algebras

Maria Fragoulopoulou, Atsushi Inoue, Klaus-Detlef Kürsten (2010)

Banach Center Publications

Similarity:

This is an expository paper on the importance and applications of GB*-algebras in the theory of unbounded operators, which is closely related to quantum field theory and quantum mechanics. After recalling the definition and the main examples of GB*-algebras we exhibit their most important properties. Then, through concrete examples we are led to a question concerning the structure of the completion of a given C*-algebra 𝓐₀[||·||₀], under a locally convex *-algebra topology τ, making...

Quantum 4-sphere: the infinitesimal approach

F. Bonechi, M. Tarlini, N. Ciccoli (2003)

Banach Center Publications

Similarity:

We describe how the constructions of quantum homogeneous spaces using infinitesimal invariance and quantum coisotropic subgroups are related. As an example we recover the quantum 4-sphere of [2] through infinitesimal invariance with respect to q ( S U ( 2 ) ) .

Braided coproduct, antipode and adjoint action for U q ( s l 2 )

Pavle Pandžić, Petr Somberg (2024)

Archivum Mathematicum

Similarity:

Motivated by our attempts to construct an analogue of the Dirac operator in the setting of U q ( 𝔰𝔩 n ) , we write down explicitly the braided coproduct, antipode, and adjoint action for quantum algebra U q ( 𝔰𝔩 2 ) . The braided adjoint action is seen to coincide with the ordinary quantum adjoint action, which also follows from the general results of S. Majid.

Quantum B-algebras

Wolfgang Rump (2013)

Open Mathematics

Similarity:

The concept of quantale was created in 1984 to develop a framework for non-commutative spaces and quantum mechanics with a view toward non-commutative logic. The logic of quantales and its algebraic semantics manifests itself in a class of partially ordered algebras with a pair of implicational operations recently introduced as quantum B-algebras. Implicational algebras like pseudo-effect algebras, generalized BL- or MV-algebras, partially ordered groups, pseudo-BCK algebras, residuated...
