On using artificial compressibility method for solving turbulent flows

Louda, Petr, Kozel, Karel, Příhoda, Jaromír (2012)

Applications of Mathematics 2012

In this work, artificial compressibility method is used to solve steady and unsteady flows of viscous incompressible fluid. The method is based on implicit higher order upwind discretization of Navier-Stokes equations. The extension for unsteady simulation is considered by increasing artificial compressibility parameter or by using dual time stepping. The methods are tested on laminar flow around circular cylinder and used to simulate turbulent unsteady flows by URANS approach. The simulated cases...

Ongoing Efforts to Generate “Tagged PDF” using pdfTeX

Moore, Ross (2009)

Towards a Digital Mathematics Library. Grand Bend, Ontario, Canada, July 8-9th, 2009

Recently PDF has been accepted as a standard for production of electronic documents, as ISO 32000-1:2008, with an acronym of PDF/UA (for “Universal Accessibility”). The second draft ISO 32000-2:2009 is to include specifications for including MathML tagging of mathematical environments and expressions. This talk presents a report on work-in-progress, aimed at: developing the primitive commands for pdfTeX needed to support the production of fully tagged PDF documents; writing appropriate TeX and...
