Piecewise linear wavelet collocation, approximation of the boundary manifold, and quadrature.
The Riemann problem has been solved in [9] for an arbitrary closed Riemann surface in terms of the principal functionals. This paper is devoted to solution of the problem only for the double of a multiply connected region and can be treated as complementary to [9,1]. We obtain a complete solution of the Riemann problem in that particular case. The solution is given in analytic form by a Poincaré series.
Mathematics Subject Classification: 26A33, 34A25, 45D05, 45E10We consider ordinary fractional differential equations with Caputo-type differential operators with smooth right-hand sides. In various places in the literature one can find the statement that such equations cannot have smooth solutions. We prove that this is wrong, and we give a full characterization of the situations where smooth solutions exist. The results can be extended to a class of weakly singular Volterra integral equations.
In the present paper, we give the exact solutions of a singular equation with logarithmic singularities in two classes of functions and construct formulae for the approximate solutions.
