We prove that the height of a foliated surface of Kodaira dimension zero belongs to (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 12). We also construct an explicit projective model. for Brunella's very special foliation.
Sia un endomorfismo olomorfo della palla unitaria aperta di . In questa nota proviamo che certe ipotesi minimali, relative al comportamento di su un orociclo e vicino ad un punto del bordo, assicurano che è un automorfismo olomorfo di .
We study the ideal triangulation graph of an oriented punctured surface of finite type. We show that if is not the sphere with at most three punctures or the torus with one puncture, then the natural map from the extended mapping class group of into the simplicial automorphism group of is an isomorphism. We also show that the graph of such a surface , equipped with its natural simplicial metric is not Gromov hyperbolic. We also show that if the triangulation graph of two oriented punctured...
A local-global version of the implicit function theorem in o-minimal structures and a generalization of the theorem of Wilkie on covering open sets by open cells are proven.
We use the construction of the intersection product of two algebraic cones to prove that the multiplicity of contact of the cones at the vertex is equal to the product of their degrees. We give an example to show that in order to calculate the index of contact it is not sufficient to perform the analytic intersection algorithm with hyperplanes.
We prove that the generalized index of intersection of an analytic set with a closed submanifold (Thm. 4.3) and the intersection product of analytic cycles (Thm. 5.4), which are defined in [T₂], are intrinsic. We define the intersection product of analytic cycles on a reduced analytic space (Def. 5.8) and prove a relation of its degree and the exponent of proper separation (Thm. 6.3).
Let T be a representation of a suitable abelian semigroup S by isometries on a Banach space. We study the spectral conditions which will imply that T(s) is invertible for each s in S. On the way we analyse the relationship between the spectrum of T, Sp(T,S), and its unitary spectrum . For or , we establish connections with polynomial convexity.
