We show that a free graded commutative Banach algebra over a (purely odd) Banach space is a Banach-Grassmann algebra in the sense of Jadczyk and Pilch if and only if is infinite-dimensional. Thus, a large amount of new examples of separable Banach-Grassmann algebras arise in addition to the only one example previously known due to A. Rogers.
A Hille-Yosida Theorem is proved on convenient vector spaces, a class, which contains all sequentially complete locally convex spaces. The approach is governed by convenient analysis and the credo that many reasonable questions concerning strongly continuous semigroups can be proved on the subspace of smooth vectors. Examples from literature are reconsidered by these simpler methods and some applications to the theory of infinite dimensional heat equations are given.
In the paper a class of families (M) of functions defined on differentiable manifolds M with the following properties:
. if M is a linear manifold, then (M) contains convex functions,
. (·) is invariant under diffeomorphisms,
. each f ∈ (M) is differentiable on a dense -set,
is investigated.
We first generalize the classical implicit function theorem of Hildebrandt and Graves to the case where we have a Keller -map f defined on an open subset of E×F and with values in F, for E an arbitrary Hausdorff locally convex space and F a Banach space. As an application, we prove that under a certain transversality condition the preimage of a submanifold is a submanifold for a map from a Fréchet manifold to a Banach manifold.
In this article, we formalize isometric differentiable functions on real normed space [17], and their properties.
