État de l'art des méthodes “d'optimisation globale”

Gérard Berthiau, Patrick Siarry (2010)

RAIRO - Operations Research

Similarity:

We present a review of the main “global optimization" methods. The paper comprises one introduction and two parts. In the introduction, we recall some generalities about non linear constraint-less optimization and we list some classifications which have been proposed for the global optimization methods. We then describe, in the first part, various “classical" global optimization methods, most of which available long before the appearance of Simulated Annealing (a key event in this...

Équidistribution vers le courant de Green

Frédéric Protin (2015)

Annales Polonici Mathematici

Similarity:

We establish an equidistribution result for the pull-back of a (1,1)-closed positive current in ℂ² by a proper polynomial map of small topological degree. We also study convergence at infinity on good compactifications of ℂ². We make use of a lemma that enables us to control the blow-up of some integrals in the neighborhood of a big logarithmic singularity of a plurisubharmonic function. Finally, we discuss the importance of the properness hypothesis, and we give some results in the...

Sur le caractere gaussien de la convergence presque partout

Michel Weber (2001)

Fundamenta Mathematicae

Similarity:

We establish functional type inequalities linking the regularity properties of sequences of operators S = (Sₙ) acting on L²-spaces with those of the canonical Gaussian process on the associated subsets of L² defined by (Sₙ(f)), f ∈ L². These inequalities allow us to easily deduce as corollaries Bourgain's famous entropy criteria in the theory of almost everywhere convergence. They also provide a better understanding of the role of the Gaussian processes in the study of almost everywhere...

Sur des inégalités intégrales et applications à la stabilité de quelques systèmes distribués non dissipatifs

Aïssa Guesmia

Similarity:

First we prove some new integral inequalities to obtain a precise estimate on behavior at infinity of a positive and not necessarily decreasing functon. This extends in many directions and improves in certain cases some integral inequalities due to A. Haraux, V. Komornik, P. Martinez, M. Eller et al. and F. Alabau-Boussouira concerning decreasing functions. Then we give applications to (internal or boundary, linear or nonlinear) stabilization of certain nondissipative distributed...

Vortex motion and phase-vortex interaction in dissipative Ginzburg-Landau dynamics

F. Bethuel, G. Orlandi, D. Smets (2004)

Journées Équations aux dérivées partielles

Similarity:

We discuss the asymptotics of the parabolic Ginzburg-Landau equation in dimension N 2 . Our only asumption on the initial datum is a natural energy bound. Compared to the case of “well-prepared” initial datum, this induces possible new energy modes which we analyze, and in particular their mutual interaction. The two dimensional case is qualitatively different and requires a separate treatment.
