Ring-like operations is pseudocomplemented semilattices

Ivan Chajda, Helmut Länger (2000)

Discussiones Mathematicae - General Algebra and Applications

Ring-like operations are introduced in pseudocomplemented semilattices in such a way that in the case of Boolean pseudocomplemented semilattices one obtains the corresponding Boolean ring operations. Properties of these ring-like operations are derived and a characterization of Boolean pseudocomplemented semilattices in terms of these operations is given. Finally, ideals in the ring-like structures are defined and characterized.

Rough semigroups and rough fuzzy semigroups based on fuzzy ideals

Qiumei Wang, Jianming Zhan (2016)

Open Mathematics

In this paper, we firstly introduce a special congruence relation U(μ, t) induced by a fuzzy ideal μ in a semigroup S. Then we define the lower and upper approximations based on a fuzzy ideal in semigroups. We can establish rough semigroups, rough ideals, rough prime ideals, rough fuzzy semigroups, rough fuzzy ideals and rough fuzzy prime ideals according to the definitions of rough sets and rough fuzzy sets. Furthermore, we shall consider the relationships among semigroups and rough semigroups,...

Semifields and a theorem of Abhyankar

Vítězslav Kala (2017)

Commentationes Mathematicae Universitatis Carolinae

Abhyankar proved that every field of finite transcendence degree over or over a finite field is a homomorphic image of a subring of the ring of polynomials [ T 1 , , T n ] (for some n depending on the field). We conjecture that his result cannot be substantially strengthened and show that our conjecture implies a well-known conjecture on the additive idempotence of semifields that are finitely generated as semirings.

Semirings embedded in a completely regular semiring

M. K. Sen, S. K. Maity (2004)

Acta Universitatis Palackianae Olomucensis. Facultas Rerum Naturalium. Mathematica

Recently, we have shown that a semiring S is completely regular if and only if S is a union of skew-rings. In this paper we show that a semiring S satisfying a 2 = n a can be embedded in a completely regular semiring if and only if S is additive separative.

Simple zeropotent paramedial groupoids are balanced

Czechoslovak Mathematical Journal

This short note is a continuation of and and its purpose is to show that every simple zeropotent paramedial groupoid containing at least three elements is strongly balanced in the sense of .

Some distributivities in GBbi-QRs characterizing Boolean rings

Joanna Kaleta (2004)

Discussiones Mathematicae - General Algebra and Applications

This paper presents some manner of characterization of Boolean rings. These algebraic systems one can also characterize by means of some distributivities satisfied in GBbi-QRs.
