Using the concept of -convergence we provide a Korovkin type approximation theorem by means of positive linear operators defined on an appropriate weighted space given with any interval of the real line. We also study rates of convergence by means of the modulus of continuity and the elements of the Lipschitz class.
The method of projections onto convex sets to find a point in the intersection of a finite number of closed convex sets in a Euclidean space, may lead to slow convergence of the constructed sequence when that sequence enters some narrow “corridor” between two or more convex sets. A way to leave such corridor consists in taking a big step at different moments during the iteration, because in that way the monotoneous behaviour that is responsible for the slow convergence may be interrupted. In this...
Accurate estimates of real Pochhammer products, lower (falling) and upper (rising), are presented. Double inequalities comparing the Pochhammer products with powers are given. Several examples showing how to use the established approximations are stated.
The purpose of this paper is to introduce some new generalized double difference sequence spaces using summability with respect to a two valued measure and an Orlicz function in -normed spaces which have unique non-linear structure and to examine some of their properties. This approach has not been used in any context before.
