Impulsive semilinear neutral functional differential inclusions with multivalued jumps

Nadjet Abada, Ravi P. Agarwal, Mouffak Benchohra, Hadda Hammouche (2011)

Applications of Mathematics

In this paper we establish sufficient conditions for the existence of mild solutions and extremal mild solutions for some densely defined impulsive semilinear neutral functional differential inclusions in separable Banach spaces. We rely on a fixed point theorem for the sum of completely continuous and contraction operators.

Input-output systems in Biology and Chemistry and a class of mathematical models describing them

Erich Bohl, Ivo Marek (2005)

Applications of Mathematics

Our aim is to show a class of mathematical models in application to some problems of cell biology. Typically, our models are described via classical chemical networks. This property is visualized by a conservation law. Mathematically, this conservation law guarantees most of the mathematical properties of the models such as global existence and uniqueness of solutions as well as positivity of the solutions for positive data. These properties are consequences of the fact that the infinitesimal generators...

Integro-differential equations on time scales with Henstock-Kurzweil delta integrals

Aneta Sikorska-Nowak (2011)

Discussiones Mathematicae, Differential Inclusions, Control and Optimization

In this paper we prove existence theorems for integro - differential equations x Δ ( t ) = f ( t , x ( t ) , t k ( t , s , x ( s ) ) Δ s ) , t ∈ Iₐ = [0,a] ∩ T, a ∈ R₊, x(0) = x₀ where T denotes a time scale (nonempty closed subset of real numbers R), Iₐ is a time scale interval. Functions f,k are Carathéodory functions with values in a Banach space E and the integral is taken in the sense of Henstock-Kurzweil delta integral, which generalizes the Henstock-Kurzweil integral. Additionally, functions f and k satisfy some boundary conditions and conditions...

IVPs for singular multi-term fractional differential equations with multiple base points and applications

Yuji Liu, Pinghua Yang (2014)

Applicationes Mathematicae

The purpose of this paper is to study global existence and uniqueness of solutions of initial value problems for nonlinear fractional differential equations. By constructing a special Banach space and employing fixed-point theorems, some sufficient conditions are obtained for the global existence and uniqueness of solutions of this kind of equations involving Caputo fractional derivatives and multiple base points. We apply the results to solve the forced logistic model with multi-term fractional...
