In this paper, we are concerned with periodic, quasi-periodic (q.p.) and almost periodic (a.p.) Optimal Control problems. After defining these problems and setting them in an abstract setting by using Abstract Harmonic Analysis, we give some structure results of the set of solutions, and study the relations between periodic and a.p. problems. We prove for instance that for an autonomous concave problem, the a.p. problem has a solution if and only if all problems (periodic with fixed or variable...

We consider nonlinear systems with a priori feedback. We establish the existence of admissible pairs and then we show that the Lagrange optimal control problem admits an optimal pair. As application we work out in detail two examples of optimal control problems for nonlinear parabolic partial differential equations.

In this work we study the optimal control problem for a class of nonlinear time-delay systems via paratingent equation with delayed argument. We use an equivalence theorem between solutions of differential inclusions with time-delay and solutions of paratingent equations with delayed argument. We study the problem of optimal control which minimizes a certain cost function. To show the existence of optimal control, we use the main topological properties...

In this paper, first we consider parametric control systems driven by nonlinear evolution equations defined on an evolution triple of spaces. The parametres are time-varying probability measures (Young measures) defined on a compact metric space. The appropriate optimization problem is a minimax control problem, in which the system analyst minimizes the maximum cost (risk). Under general hypotheses on the data we establish the existence of optimal controls. Then we pass to nonparametric...

We deal with an optimal control problem for variational inequalities, where the monotone operators as well as the convex sets of possible states depend on the control parameter. The existence theorem for the optimal control will be applied to the optimal design problems for an elasto-plastic beam and an elastic plate, where a variable thickness appears as a control variable.

The aim of the present paper is to study problems of optimal design in mechanics, whose variational form are inequalities expressing the principle of virtual power in its inequality form. We consider an optimal control problem in whixh the state of the system (involving an elliptic, linear symmetric operator, the coefficients of which are chosen as the design - control variables) is defined as the (unique) solution of stationary variational inequalities. The existence result proved in Section 1...
