Self-Assembly of Icosahedral Viral Capsids: the Combinatorial Analysis Approach
An analysis of all possible icosahedral viral capsids is proposed. It takes into account the diversity of coat proteins and their positioning in elementary pentagonal and hexagonal configurations, leading to definite capsid size.
