The Boltzmann-Enskog equation with large data; wellposedness and regularity
I present in this note recent results on the uniqueness and stability for the parabolic-parabolic Keller-Segel equation on the plane, obtained in collaboration with S. Mischler in [11].
An -existence theorem is proved for the nonlinear stationary Boltzmann equation for soft and hard forces in with given indata on the boundary, when the collision operator is truncated for small velocities.
A computer-aided method for accurately carrying out the Chapman-Enskog expansion of the Boltzmann equation, including its inelastic variant, is presented and employed to derive a hydrodynamic description of a dilute binary mixture of smooth inelastic spheres.
