The wavelet characterization of the space Weak H¹

Heping Liu (1992)

Studia Mathematica

The space Weak H¹ was introduced and investigated by Fefferman and Soria. In this paper we characterize it in terms of wavelets. Equivalence of four conditions is proved.

The wavelet type systems

Barbara Wolnik (2006)

Banach Center Publications

We consider biorthogonal systems of functions on the interval [0,1] or 𝕋 which have the same dyadic scaled estimates as wavelets. We present properties and examples of these systems.

The weak type inequality for the Walsh system

Ushangi Goginava (2008)

Studia Mathematica

The main aim of this paper is to prove that the maximal operator σ is bounded from the Hardy space H 1 / 2 to weak- L 1 / 2 and is not bounded from H 1 / 2 to L 1 / 2 .

The weighted Hardy spaces associated to self-adjoint operators and their duality on product spaces

Suying Liu, Minghua Yang (2018)

Czechoslovak Mathematical Journal

Let L be a non-negative self-adjoint operator acting on L 2 ( n ) satisfying a pointwise Gaussian estimate for its heat kernel. Let w be an A r weight on n × n , 1 < r < . In this article we obtain a weighted atomic decomposition for the weighted Hardy space H L , w p ( n × n ) , 0 < p 1 associated to L . Based on the atomic decomposition, we show the dual relationship between H L , w 1 ( n × n ) and BMO L , w ( n × n ) .

Theoretical and numerical study of a free boundary problem by boundary integral methods

Michel Crouzeix, Philippe Féat, Francisco-Javier Sayas (2001)

ESAIM: Mathematical Modelling and Numerical Analysis - Modélisation Mathématique et Analyse Numérique

In this paper we study a free boundary problem appearing in electromagnetism and its numerical approximation by means of boundary integral methods. Once the problem is written in a equivalent integro-differential form, with the arc parametrization of the boundary as unknown, we analyse it in this new setting. Then we consider Galerkin and collocation methods with trigonometric polynomial and spline curves as approximate solutions.

Theoretical aspects of a multiscale analysis of the eigenoscillations of the Earth.

Volker Michel (2003)

Revista Matemática Complutense

The elastic behaviour of the Earth, including its eigenoscillations, is usually described by the Cauchy-Navier equation. Using a standard approach in seismology we apply the Helmholtz decomposition theorem to transform the Fourier transformed Cauchy-Navier equation into two non-coupled Helmholtz equations and then derive sequences of fundamental solutions for this pair of equations using the Mie representation. Those solutions are denoted by the Hansen vectors Ln,j, Mn,j, and Nn,j in geophysics....

Théorie L p des sommes trigonométriques apériodiques

Yves Meyer (1974)

Three results in Dunkl analysis

Béchir Amri, Jean-Philippe Anker, Mohamed Sifi (2010)

Colloquium Mathematicae

We first establish a geometric Paley-Wiener theorem for the Dunkl transform in the crystallographic case. Next we obtain an optimal bound for the L p L p norm of Dunkl translations in dimension 1. Finally, we describe more precisely the support of the distribution associated to Dunkl translations in higher dimension.
