On the infrared problem in a model of scalar electrons and massless, scalar bosons
We consider a hamiltonian system which, in a special case and under the gauge group SU(2), can be considered as a reduction of the Yang-Mills field equations. We prove explicitly, using the Lax spectral curve technique and the van Moerbeke-Mumford method, that the flows generated by the constants of motion are straight lines on the Jacobi variety of a genus two Riemann surface.
We consider the 3D quantum BBGKY hierarchy which corresponds to the -particle Schrödinger equation. We assume the pair interaction is . For the interaction parameter , we prove that, provided an energy bound holds for solutions to the BBKGY hierarchy, the limit points satisfy the space-time bound conjectured by S. Klainerman and M. Machedon [45] in 2008. The energy bound was proven to hold for in [28]. This allows, in the case , for the application of the Klainerman–Machedon uniqueness theorem...
In this article, a theorem is proved asserting that any linear functional defined on a JBW-algebra admits a Lebesque decomposition with respect to any normal state defined on the algebra. Then we show that the positivity (and the unicity) of this decomposition is insured for the trace states defined on the algebra. In fact, this property can be used to give a new characterization of the trace states amoungst all the normal states.
von Neumann's reliance on the von Mises frequentist interpretation is discussed and compared with the Dutchbook approach proposed by de Finetti.
We review the notion of simple compact quantum groups and examples, and discuss the problem of construction and classification of simple compact quantum groups.
