Let $X$ be the Tychonoff product ${\prod }_{\alpha <\tau }{X}_{\alpha }$ of $\tau$-many Tychonoff non-single point spaces $X_{\alpha }$. Let $p\in X^{*}$ be a point in the closure of some $G\subset X$ whose weak Lindelöf number is strictly less than the cofinality of $\tau$. Then we show that $\beta X\setminus \left\{p\right\}$ is not normal. Under some additional assumptions, $p$ is a butterfly-point in $\beta X$. In particular, this is true if either $X={\omega }^{\tau }$ or $X=R^{\tau }$ and $\tau$ is infinite and not countably cofinal.

For each n ≥ 1, let $v_{n,k},k\ge 1$ and $u_{n,k},k\ge 1$ be mutually independent sequences of nonnegative random variables and let each of them consist of mutually independent and identically distributed random variables with means v̅ₙ and u̅̅ₙ, respectively. Let $X{ₙ}^B\left(t\right)=(1/cₙ){\sum }_{j=1}^{\left[nt\right]}(v_{n,j}-v̅ₙ)$, $X{ₙ}^A\left(t\right)=(1/cₙ){\sum }_{j=1}^{\left[nt\right]}(u_{n,j}-u̅̅ₙ)$, t ≥ 0, and $Xₙ=X{ₙ}^B-X{ₙ}^A$. The main result gives conditions under which the weak convergence $Xₙ\stackrel{}{\to }X$, where X is a Lévy process, implies $X{ₙ}^B\stackrel{}{\to }{X}^B$ and $X{ₙ}^A\stackrel{}{\to }{X}^A$, where $X^B$ and $X^A$ are mutually independent Lévy processes and $X=X^B-X^A$.

We show that any ${\Sigma }_s$-product of at most $𝔠$-many $L\Sigma (\le \omega )$-spaces has the $L\Sigma (\le \omega )$-property. This result generalizes some known results about $L\Sigma (\le \omega )$-spaces. On the other hand, we prove that every ${\Sigma }_s$-product of monotonically monolithic spaces is monotonically monolithic, and in a similar form, we show that every ${\Sigma }_s$-product of Collins-Roscoe spaces has the Collins-Roscoe property. For $X,Y\in {𝐌}_{n,m}$ it is said that $X$ is gut-majorized by $Y$, and we write $X{\prec }_{\mathrm{gut}}Y$, if there exists an $n$-by-$n$ upper triangular g-row stochastic matrix $R$ such that $X=RY$. Define the relation ${\sim }_{\mathrm{gut}}$ as follows. $X{\sim }_{\mathrm{gut}}Y$ if $X$ is gut-majorized by $Y$ and $Y$ is gut-majorized by $X$. The (strong) linear preservers of ${\prec }_{\mathrm{gut}}$ on ${ℝ}^n$ and strong linear preservers of this relation on ${𝐌}_{n,m}$ have been characterized before. This paper characterizes all (strong) linear preservers and strong linear preservers of ${\sim }_{\mathrm{gut}}$ on ${ℝ}^n$ and ${𝐌}_{n,m}$.

In a Tychonoff space $X$, the point $p\in X$ is called a $C^{*}$-point if every real-valued continuous function on $C\setminus \left\{p\right\}$ can be extended continuously to $p$. Every point in an extremally disconnected space is a $C^{*}$-point. A classic example is the space ${𝐖}^{*}={\omega }_1+1$ consisting of the countable ordinals together with ${\omega }_1$. For Banach spaces $X$ and $Y$, let $K_{w^{*}}(X^{*},Y)$ denote the space of all $w^{*}-w$ continuous compact operators from $X^{*}$ to $Y$ endowed with the operator norm. A Banach space $X$ has the $wGP$ property if every Grothendieck subset of $X$ is relatively weakly compact. In this paper we study Banach spaces with property $wGP$. We investigate whether the spaces $K_{w^{*}}(X^{*},Y)$ and $X{\otimes }_{ϵ}Y$ have the $wGP$ property, when $X$ and $Y$ have the $wGP$ property.

Let $D$ be a ${𝒞}^d$ $q$-convex intersection, $d\ge 2$, $0\le q\le n-1$, in a complex manifold $X$ of complex dimension $n$, $n\ge 2$, and let $E$ be a holomorphic vector bundle of rank $N$ over $X$. In this paper, ${𝒞}^k$-estimates, $k=2,3,\cdots ,\infty$, for solutions to the $\overline{\partial }$-equation with small loss of smoothness are obtained for $E$-valued $(0,s)$-forms on $D$ when $n-q\le s\le n$. In addition, we solve the $\overline{\partial }$-equation with a support condition in ${𝒞}^k$-spaces. We prove that for a normed linear space $X$, if $f_1:X\to ℝ$ is continuous and semiconvex with modulus $\omega$, $f_2:X\to ℝ$ is continuous and semiconcave with modulus $\omega$ and $f_1\le f_2$, then there exists $f\in C^{1,\omega }\left(X\right)$ such that $f_1\le f\le f_2$. Using this result we prove a generalization of Ilmanen lemma (which deals with the case $\omega \left(t\right)=t$) to the case of an arbitrary nontrivial modulus $\omega$. This generalization (where a $C_{loc}^{1,\omega }$ function is inserted) gives a positive answer to a problem formulated by A. Fathi and M. Zavidovique in 2010.
