Multidimensional two-particles problem with non-central potential
We develop the qualitative theory of the solutions of the McKendrick partial differential equation of population dynamics. We calculate explicitly the weak solutions of the McKendrick equation and of the Lotka renewal integral equation with time and age dependent birth rate. Mortality modulus is considered age dependent. In this paper we study the periodic-Neumann boundary value problem for a class of nonlinear parabolic equations. We prove a new uniqueness result and study the structure of the set of solutions when there exist more than one solution. The ideas are applied to a Neumann problem for an elliptic equation.
