The intrinsic square function.
A version of the John-Nirenberg inequality suitable for the functions with is established. Then, equivalent definitions of this space via the norm of weighted Lebesgue space are given. As an application, some characterizations of this function space are given by the weighted boundedness of the commutator with the Hardy-Littlewood maximal operator.
X. Tolsa defined a space of BMO type for positive Radon measures satisfying some growth condition on . This new BMO space is very suitable for the Calderón-Zygmund theory with non-doubling measures. Especially, the John-Nirenberg type inequality can be recovered. In the present paper we introduce a localized and weighted version of this inequality and, as applications, we obtain some vector-valued inequalities and weighted inequalities for Morrey spaces.
In this article we prove for the existence of the -Helmholtz projection in finite cylinders . More precisely, is considered to be given as the Cartesian product of a cube and a bounded domain having -boundary. Adapting an approach of Farwig (2003), operator-valued Fourier series are used to solve a related partial periodic weak Neumann problem. By reflection techniques the weak Neumann problem in is solved, which implies existence and a representation of the -Helmholtz projection as...
For two general second order parabolic equations in divergence form in Lip(1,1/2) cylinders, we give a criterion for the preservation of solvability of the Dirichlet problems.
For an L²-bounded Calderón-Zygmund Operator T acting on , and a weight w ∈ A₂, the norm of T on L²(w) is dominated by . The recent theorem completes a line of investigation initiated by Hunt-Muckenhoupt-Wheeden in 1973 (MR0312139), has been established in different levels of generality by a number of authors over the last few years. It has a subtle proof, whose full implications will unfold over the next few years. This sharp estimate requires that the A₂ character of the weight can be exactly...
We give a Littlewood-Paley function characterization of a new Hardy space HK₂ and its φ-transform characterizations in M. Frazier & B. Jawerth's sense.
Let 0 < p ≤ 1 < q < ∞ and α = n(1/p - 1/q). We introduce some new Hardy spaces which are the local versions of spaces at the origin. Characterizations of these spaces in terms of atomic and molecular decompositions are established, together with their φ-transform characterizations in M. Frazier and B. Jawerth’s sense. We also prove an interpolation theorem for operators on and discuss the -boundedness of Calderón-Zygmund operators. Similar results can also be obtained for the non-homogeneous...
This article is concerned with the question of whether Marcinkiewicz multipliers on give rise to bilinear multipliers on ℝⁿ × ℝⁿ. We show that this is not always the case. Moreover, we find necessary and sufficient conditions for such bilinear multipliers to be bounded. These conditions in particular imply that a slight logarithmic modification of the Marcinkiewicz condition gives multipliers for which the corresponding bilinear operators are bounded on products of Lebesgue and Hardy spaces.
We study the Hardy inequality and derive the maximal theorem of Hardy and Littlewood in the context of grand Lebesgue spaces, considered when the underlying measure space is the interval (0,1) ⊂ ℝ, and the maximal function is localized in (0,1). Moreover, we prove that the inequality holds with some c independent of f iff w belongs to the well known Muckenhoupt class , and therefore iff for some c independent of f. Some results of similar type are discussed for the case of small Lebesgue spaces....
We give some rather weak sufficient condition for boundedness of the Marcinkiewicz integral operator on the product spaces (1 < p < ∞), which improves and extends some known results.
We prove two-weight norm inequalities in ℝⁿ for the minimal operator , extending to higher dimensions results obtained by Cruz-Uribe, Neugebauer and Olesen [8] on the real line. As an application we extend to ℝⁿ weighted norm inequalities for the geometric maximal operator , proved by Yin and Muckenhoupt [27]. We also give norm inequalities for the centered minimal operator, study powers of doubling weights and give sufficient conditions for the geometric maximal operator to be equal to the closely...
We introduce the minimal operator on weighted grand Lebesgue spaces, discuss some weighted norm inequalities and characterize the conditions under which the inequalities hold. We also prove that the John-Nirenberg inequalities in the framework of weighted grand Lebesgue spaces are valid provided that the weight function belongs to the Muckenhoupt class.
It is shown that the Muckenhoupt structure constants for f and f* on the real line are the same.
We introduce the one-sided minimal operator, , which is analogous to the one-sided maximal operator. We determine the weight classes which govern its two-weight, strong and weak-type norm inequalities, and show that these two classes are the same. Then in the one-weight case we use this class to introduce a new one-sided reverse Hölder inequality which has several applications to one-sided weights.
