On extendability of invariant distributions

Bogdan Ziemian (2000)

Annales Polonici Mathematici

In this paper sufficient conditions are given in order that every distribution invariant under a Lie group extend from the set of orbits of maximal dimension to the whole of the space. It is shown that these conditions are satisfied for the n-point action of the pure Lorentz group and for a standard action of the Lorentz group of arbitrary signature.

On Generalized Models and Singular Products of Distributions in Colombeau Algebra G(R)

Damyanov, Blagovest P. (2013)

Mathematica Balkanica New Series

MSC 2010: 46F30, 46F10Modelling of singularities given by discontinuous functions or distributions by means of generalized functions has proved useful in many problems posed by physical phenomena. We introduce in a systematic way generalized functions of Colombeau that model such singularities. Moreover, we evaluate some products of singularity-modelling generalized functions whenever the result admits an associated distribution.

On Hankel transform and Hankel convolution of Beurling type distributions having upper bounded support

M. Belhadj, Jorge J. Betancor (2004)

Czechoslovak Mathematical Journal

In this paper we study Beurling type distributions in the Hankel setting. We consider the space ( w ) ' of Beurling type distributions on ( 0 , ) having upper bounded support. The Hankel transform and the Hankel convolution are studied on the space ( w ) ' . We also establish Paley Wiener type theorems for Hankel transformations of distributions in ( w ) ' .
