Convergence of Taylor series in Fock spaces

Haiying Li (2014)

Studia Mathematica

It is well known that the Taylor series of every function in the Fock space F α p converges in norm when 1 < p < ∞. It is also known that this is no longer true when p = 1. In this note we consider the case 0 < p < 1 and show that the Taylor series of functions in F α p do not necessarily converge “in norm”.

Convex combination of analytic functions

Nak Eun Cho, Naveen Kumar Jain, V. Ravichandran (2017)

Open Mathematics

Radii of convexity, starlikeness, lemniscate starlikeness and close-to-convexity are determined for the convex combination of the identity map and a normalized convex function F given by f(z) = α z+(1−α)F(z).

Convex integration and the L p theory of elliptic equations

Kari Astala, Daniel Faraco, László Székelyhidi Jr. (2008)

Annali della Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa - Classe di Scienze

This paper deals with the L p theory of linear elliptic partial differential equations with bounded measurable coefficients. We construct in two dimensions examples of weak and so-called very weak solutions, with critical integrability properties, both to isotropic equations and to equations in non-divergence form. These examples show that the general L p theory, developed in [1, 24] and [2], cannot be extended under any restriction on the essential range of the coefficients. Our constructions are based...

Convex meromorphic mappings

Albert E. Livingston (1994)

Annales Polonici Mathematici

We study functions f(z) which are meromorphic and univalent in the unit disk with a simple pole at z = p, 0 < p < 1, and which map the unit disk onto a domain whose complement is either convex or is starlike with respect to a point w₀ ≠ 0.
