Finite-time adaptive outer synchronization between two complex dynamical networks with nonidentical topological structures

Jie Wu, Yong-zheng Sun, Dong-hua Zhao (2015)

Kybernetika

In this paper, we investigate the finite-time adaptive outer synchronization between two complex dynamical networks with nonidentical topological structures. We propose new adaptive controllers, with which we can synchronize two complex dynamical networks within finite time. Sufficient conditions for the finite-time adaptive outer synchronization are derived based on the finite-time stability theory. Finally, numerical examples are examined to demonstrate the effectiveness and feasibility of the...

Finite-time synchronization of chaotic systems with noise perturbation

Jie Wu, Zhi-cai Ma, Yong-zheng Sun, Feng Liu (2015)

Kybernetika

In this paper, we investigate the finite-time stochastic synchronization problem of two chaotic systems with noise perturbation. We propose new adaptive controllers, with which we can synchronize two chaotic systems in finite time. Sufficient conditions for the finite-time stochastic synchronization are derived based on the finite-time stability theory of stochastic differential equations. Finally, some numerical examples are examined to demonstrate the effectiveness and feasibility of the theoretical...

Finite-time topological identification of complex network with time delay and stochastic disturbance

Yufeng Qian (2021)

Kybernetika

The topology identification issue of complex stochastic network with delay and stochastic disturbance is mainly introduced in this paper. It is known the time delay and stochastic disturbance are ubiquitous in real network, and they will impair the identification of network topology, and the topology capable of identifying the network within specific time is desired on the other hand. Based on these discussions, the finite-time identification method is proposed to solve similar issues problems....

Five limit cycles for a simple cubic system.

Noel G. Lloyd, Jane M. Pearson (1997)

Publicacions Matemàtiques

We resolve the centre-focus problem for a specific class of cubic systems and determine the number of limit cycles which can bifurcate from a fine focus. We also describe the methods which we have developed to investigate these questions in general. These involve extensive use of Computer Algebra; we have chosen to use REDUCE.

Fixed point analysis for non-oscillatory solutions of quasi linear ordinary differential equations

Luisa Malaguti, Valentina Taddei (2005)

Acta Universitatis Palackianae Olomucensis. Facultas Rerum Naturalium. Mathematica

The paper deals with the quasi-linear ordinary differential equation ( r ( t ) ϕ ( u ' ) ) ' + g ( t , u ) = 0 with t [ 0 , ) . We treat the case when g is not necessarily monotone in its second argument and assume usual conditions on r ( t ) and ϕ ( u ) . We find necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of unbounded non-oscillatory solutions. By means of a fixed point technique we investigate their growth, proving the coexistence of solutions with different asymptotic behaviors. The results generalize previous ones due to Elbert–Kusano, [Acta...
