Existence results for systems of conformable fractional differential equations

Bouharket Bendouma, Alberto Cabada, Ahmed Hammoudi (2019)

Archivum Mathematicum

In this article, we study the existence of solutions to systems of conformable fractional differential equations with periodic boundary value or initial value conditions. where the right member of the system is L α 1 -carathéodory function. We employ the method of solution-tube and Schauder’s fixed-point theorem.

Existence results for systems with nonlinear coupled nonlocal initial conditions

Octavia Bolojan, Gennaro Infante, Radu Precup (2015)

Mathematica Bohemica

The purpose of the present paper is to study the existence of solutions to initial value problems for nonlinear first order differential systems subject to nonlinear nonlocal initial conditions of functional type. The approach uses vector-valued metrics and matrices convergent to zero. Two existence results are given by means of Schauder and Leray-Schauder fixed point principles and the existence and uniqueness of the solution is obtained via a fixed point theorem due to Perov. Two examples are...

Extremal selections of multifunctions generating a continuous flow

Alberto Bressan, Graziano Crasta (1994)

Annales Polonici Mathematici

Let F : [ 0 , T ] × n 2 n be a continuous multifunction with compact, not necessarily convex values. In this paper, we prove that, if F satisfies the following Lipschitz Selection Property: (LSP) For every t,x, every y ∈ c̅o̅F(t,x) and ε > 0, there exists a Lipschitz selection ϕ of c̅o̅F, defined on a neighborhood of (t,x), with |ϕ(t,x)-y| < ε, then there exists a measurable selection f of ext F such that, for every x₀, the Cauchy problem ẋ(t) = f(t,x(t)), x(0) = x₀, has a unique Carathéodory solution, depending...

Filippov Lemma for matrix fourth order differential inclusions

Grzegorz Bartuzel, Andrzej Fryszkowski (2014)

Banach Center Publications

In the paper we give an analogue of the Filippov Lemma for the fourth order differential inclusions y = y”” - (A² + B²)y” + A²B²y ∈ F(t,y), (*) with the initial conditions y(0) = y’(0) = y”(0) = y”’(0) = 0, (**) where the matrices A , B d × d are commutative and the multifunction F : [ 0 , 1 ] × d c l ( d ) is Lipschitz continuous in y with a t-independent constant l < ||A||²||B||². Generalizations and error analysis of the iterative operator splitting method

Tamás Ladics, István Faragó (2013)

Open Mathematics

The properties of iterative splitting with two bounded linear operators have been analyzed by Faragó et al. For more than two operators, iterative splitting can be defined in many different ways. A large class of the possible extensions to this case is presented in this paper and the order of accuracy of these methods are examined. A separate section is devoted to the discussion of two of these methods to illustrate how this class of possible methods can be classified with respect to the order of...

Generalized Boundary Value Problems for Nonlinear Fractional Langevin Equations

Xuezhu Li, Milan Medveď, Jin Rong Wang (2014)

Acta Universitatis Palackianae Olomucensis. Facultas Rerum Naturalium. Mathematica

In this paper, generalized boundary value problems for nonlinear fractional Langevin equations is studied. Some new existence results of solutions in the balls with different radius are obtained when the nonlinear term satisfies nonlinear Lipschitz and linear growth conditions. Finally, two examples are given to illustrate the results.

Identification of quasiperiodic processes in the vicinity of the resonance

Fischer, Cyril, Náprstek, Jiří (2023)

Programs and Algorithms of Numerical Mathematics

In nonlinear dynamical systems, strong quasiperiodic beating effects appear due to combination of self-excited and forced vibration. The presence of symmetric or asymmetric beatings indicates an exchange of energy between individual degrees of freedom of the model or by multiple close dominant frequencies. This effect is illustrated by the case of the van der Pol equation in the vicinity of resonance. The approximate analysis of these nonlinear effects uses the harmonic balance method and the multiple...
