Let $R$ and $S$ be commutative rings with unity, $f:R\to S$ a ring homomorphism and $J$ an ideal of $S$. Then the subring $R{\bowtie }^{f}J:=\{(a,f\left(a\right)+j)\mid a\in R$ and $j\in J\}$ of $R\times S$ is called the amalgamation of $R$ with $S$ along $J$ with respect to $f$. In this paper, we determine when $R{\bowtie }^{f}J$ is a (generalized) filter ring.

Let $A$ be a commutative ring and $𝒮$ a multiplicative system of ideals. We say that $A$ is $𝒮$-Noetherian, if for each ideal $Q$ of $A$, there exist $I\in 𝒮$ and a finitely generated ideal $F\subseteq Q$ such that $IQ\subseteq F$. In this paper, we study the transfer of this property to the polynomial ring and Nagata’s idealization.

Let $(R,𝔪)$ be a commutative Noetherian regular local ring of dimension $d$ and $I$ be a proper ideal of $R$ such that ${\mathrm{mAss}}_R(R/I)={\mathrm{Assh}}_R\left(I\right)$. It is shown that the $R$-module $H_I^{\mathrm{ht}\left(I\right)}\left(R\right)$ is $I$-cofinite if and only if $\mathrm{cd}(I,R)=\mathrm{ht}\left(I\right)$. Also we present a sufficient condition under which this condition the $R$-module $H_I^i\left(R\right)$ is finitely generated if and only if it vanishes.

Let $f:A\to B$ and $g:A\to C$ be two ring homomorphisms and let $K$ and $K^{\text{'}}$ be two ideals of $B$ and $C$, respectively, such that $f^{-1}\left(K\right)=g^{-1}\left(K^{\text{'}}\right)$. The aim of this paper is to study the relation between minimality of ideals $I$ of $ℛL$ and the set of all zero sets in $L$ determined by elements of $I$. We characterize clean elements of $ℛ\left(L\right)$ and show that $\alpha \in ℛ\left(L\right)$ is clean if and only if there exists a clopen sublocale $U$ in $L$ such that ${𝔠}_L\left(\mathrm{coz}(\alpha -\mathbf{1})\right)\subseteq U\subseteq {𝔬}_L\left(\mathrm{coz}\left(\alpha \right)\right)$. Let $(R,𝔪)$ be a local ring, $𝔞$ an ideal of $R$ and $M$ a nonzero Artinian $R$-module of Noetherian dimension $n$ with $\mathrm{hd}(𝔞,M)=n$. We determine the annihilator of the top local homology module ${\mathrm{H}}_n^{𝔞}\left(M\right)$. In fact, we prove that $${\mathrm{Ann}}_R\left({\mathrm{H}}_n^{𝔞}\left(M\right)\right)={\mathrm{Ann}}_R\left(N(𝔞,M)\right),$$ where $N(𝔞,M)$ denotes the smallest submodule of $M$ such that $\mathrm{hd}(𝔞,M/N(𝔞,M\left)\right)<n$. Let $f:A\to B$ and $g:A\to C$ be two ring homomorphisms and let $J$ and $J^{\text{'}}$ be ideals of $B$ and $C$, respectively, such that $f^{-1}\left(J\right)=g^{-1}\left(J^{\text{'}}\right)$. In this paper, we investigate the transfer of the notions of Gaussian and Prüfer rings to the bi-amalgamation of $A$ with $(B,C)$ along $(J,J^{\text{'}})$ with respect to $(f,g)$ (denoted by $A{\bowtie }^{f,g}(J,J^{\text{'}})),$ introduced and studied by S. Kabbaj, K. Louartiti and M. Tamekkante in 2013. Our results recover well known results on amalgamations in C. A.
