Littlewood-Paley characterization of Hölder-Zygmund spaces on stratified Lie groups

Guorong Hu (2019)

Czechoslovak Mathematical Journal

Similarity:

We give a characterization of the Hölder-Zygmund spaces 𝒞 σ ( G ) ( 0 < σ < ) on a stratified Lie group G in terms of Littlewood-Paley type decompositions, in analogy to the well-known characterization of the Euclidean case. Such decompositions are defined via the spectral measure of a sub-Laplacian on G , in place of the Fourier transform in the classical setting. Our approach mainly relies on almost orthogonality estimates and can be used to study other function spaces such as Besov and Triebel-Lizorkin...

The unit groups of semisimple group algebras of some non-metabelian groups of order 144

Gaurav Mittal, Rajendra K. Sharma (2023)

Mathematica Bohemica

Similarity:

We consider all the non-metabelian groups G of order 144 that have exponent either 36 or 72 and deduce the unit group U ( 𝔽 q G ) of semisimple group algebra 𝔽 q G . Here, q denotes the power of a prime, i.e., q = p r for p prime and a positive integer r . Up to isomorphism, there are 6 groups of order 144 that have exponent either 36 or 72 . Additionally, we also discuss how to simply obtain the unit groups of the semisimple group algebras of those non-metabelian groups of order 144 that are a direct product of two...

Hardy-Rogers-type fixed point theorems for α - G F -contractions

Muhammad Arshad, Eskandar Ameer, Aftab Hussain (2015)

Archivum Mathematicum

Similarity:

The aim of this paper is to introduce some new fixed point results of Hardy-Rogers-type for α - η - G F -contraction in a complete metric space. We extend the concept of F -contraction into an α - η - G F -contraction of Hardy-Rogers-type. An example has been constructed to demonstrate the novelty of our results.

On unit group of finite semisimple group algebras of non-metabelian groups up to order 72

Gaurav Mittal, Rajendra Kumar Sharma (2021)

Mathematica Bohemica

Similarity:

We characterize the unit group of semisimple group algebras 𝔽 q G of some non-metabelian groups, where F q is a field with q = p k elements for p prime and a positive integer k . In particular, we consider all 6 non-metabelian groups of order 48, the only non-metabelian group ( ( C 3 × C 3 ) C 3 ) C 2 of order 54, and 7 non-metabelian groups of order 72. This completes the study of unit groups of semisimple group algebras for groups upto order 72.

The weak type inequality for the Walsh system

Similarity:

The main aim of this paper is to prove that the maximal operator σ is bounded from the Hardy space H 1 / 2 to weak- L 1 / 2 and is not bounded from H 1 / 2 to L 1 / 2 .

Tempered reductive homogeneous spaces

Yves Benoist, Toshiyuki Kobayashi (2015)

Journal of the European Mathematical Society

Similarity:

Let G be a semisimple algebraic Lie group and H a reductive subgroup. We find geometrically the best even integer p for which the representation of G in L 2 ( G / H ) is almost L p . As an application, we give a criterion which detects whether this representation is tempered.

Quantized semisimple Lie groups

Archivum Mathematicum

Similarity:

The goal of this expository paper is to give a quick introduction to q -deformations of semisimple Lie groups. We discuss principally the rank one examples of 𝒰 q ( 𝔰𝔩 2 ) , 𝒪 ( SU q ( 2 ) ) , 𝒟 ( SL q ( 2 , ) ) and related algebras. We treat quantized enveloping algebras, representations of 𝒰 q ( 𝔰𝔩 2 ) , generalities on Hopf algebras and quantum groups, * -structures, quantized algebras of functions on q -deformed compact semisimple groups, the Peter-Weyl theorem, * -Hopf algebras associated to complex semisimple Lie groups and the Drinfeld...

Bounded evaluation operators from H p into q

Martin Smith (2007)

Studia Mathematica

Similarity:

Given 0 < p,q < ∞ and any sequence z = zₙ in the unit disc , we define an operator from functions on to sequences by T z , p ( f ) = ( 1 - | z | ² ) 1 / p f ( z ) . Necessary and sufficient conditions on zₙ are given such that T z , p maps the Hardy space H p boundedly into the sequence space q . A corresponding result for Bergman spaces is also stated.

Boundedness of Stein's square functions and Bochner-Riesz means associated to operators on Hardy spaces

Let ( X , d , μ ) be a metric measure space endowed with a distance d and a nonnegative Borel doubling measure μ . Let L be a non-negative self-adjoint operator of order m on L 2 ( X ) . Assume that the semigroup e - t L generated by L satisfies the Davies-Gaffney estimate of order m and L satisfies the Plancherel type estimate. Let H L p ( X ) be the Hardy space associated with L . We show the boundedness of Stein’s square function 𝒢 δ ( L ) arising from Bochner-Riesz means associated to L from Hardy spaces H L p ( X ) to L p ( X ) , and also study...

Some Hölder-logarithmic estimates on Hardy-Sobolev spaces

Imed Feki, Ameni Massoudi (2024)

Czechoslovak Mathematical Journal

Similarity:

We prove some optimal estimates of Hölder-logarithmic type in the Hardy-Sobolev spaces H k , p ( G ) , where k * , 1 p and G is either the open unit disk 𝔻 or the annular domain G s , 0 < s < 1 of the complex space . More precisely, we study the behavior on the interior of G of any function f belonging to the unit ball of the Hardy-Sobolev spaces H k , p ( G ) from its behavior on any open connected subset I of the boundary G of G with respect to the L 1 -norm. Our results can be viewed as an improvement and generalization of...

Optimal estimates for the fractional Hardy operator

Similarity:

Let A α f ( x ) = | B ( 0 , | x | ) | - α / n B ( 0 , | x | ) f ( t ) d t be the n-dimensional fractional Hardy operator, where 0 < α ≤ n. It is well-known that A α is bounded from L p to L p α with p α = n p / ( α p - n p + n ) when n(1-1/p) < α ≤ n. We improve this result within the framework of Banach function spaces, for instance, weighted Lebesgue spaces and Lorentz spaces. We in fact find a ’source’ space S α , Y , which is strictly larger than X, and a ’target’ space T Y , which is strictly smaller than Y, under the assumption that A α is bounded from X into Y and the Hardy-Littlewood...
